Configuring Dashboard Card Details

Learn how to customize individual dashboard cards—titles, dynamic values, rich text descriptions, and display properties—using the WoodsPortal card editor in HubSpot.

Overview

Dashboard cards let you present targeted CRM data and content on your portal’s home screen. In the card editor, you can define each card’s title, dynamic tokens, description, and linked property fields, and choose how they render.

Accessing Card Details

  1. In the page editor’s Contents panel, click Dashboard Cards.

  2. Click Edit icon on the card you want to configure to open the Card Details pane.

1. Card Title & Dynamic Values

  • Show Card Title: Toggle on to display a title bar.

  • Dynamic Properties: Wrap any contact or company property’s internal label in ** to render its value (e.g., **firstname**).

    • Copy internal labels from HubSpot property settings or from WoodsPortal Admin > Contact/Company Settings > Labels.

    • Only Contact and Company properties are supported.

2. Display Current Date

  • Toggle Display Date on to automatically insert today’s date at the top of the card. This is calculated based on the user's browser.

3. Rich Text Description

  • Use the full HubSpot rich-text toolbar to compose your description.

    • Insert paragraphs, bold/italic text, emojis, images, buttons, and personalization tokens from any Contact or Company property.

    • Include calls-to-action or formatted content as needed.

4. Display Properties Section

Use this feature to surface URL or link fields as clickable elements.

  1. Scroll to Display Properties and click Add.

  2. Under Layout, select:

    • List: Stacked Single-column.

    • Grid: Two-column arrangement.

  3. For each property:

    • Internal Name: Paste the HubSpot internal name or use the label from WoodsPortal Admin.

    • Property Type: Select Contact or Company.

    • Display Style: Choose Text, Button, or Link.

    • Click Behavior:

      • New Tab: Opens the URL in a separate browser tab.

      • Iframe: Opens the URL within the portal frame.
