Configuring Object Settings in WoodsPortal

Learn how to enable or disable create/update permissions, File Manager, Notes, and Ticket Management features for any object via the Settings tab in WoodsPortal Admin.

 

Overview


In WoodsPortal Admin, each object’s Settings tab lets you control which capabilities portal users have on that object’s detail page—including record creation, file uploads, notes, and ticket actions.


Before you begin

  • Admin permissions: You must be a Super Admin or Partner Admin in HubSpot.


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open Object Settings

    • In WoodsPortal Admin, navigate to HubSpot Objects.

    • Select the target object and click Configure, then switch to the Settings tab.

  2. Object Record Section

    • Create toggle: Enable users to create new records from the portal.

    • Update toggle: Enable users to edit the object’s fields in the portal.

  3. File Manager Section

    • Display File Manager toggle: Show or hide the File Manager tab on the record’s detail page.

    • Create Files/Folders toggle: Allow users to upload files or create folders associated with the record.

  4. Notes Section

    • Display Notes toggle: Show or hide the Notes tab.

    • Create Notes toggle: Allow users to add new notes.

    • Update Notes toggle: Allow users to edit existing notes.

  5. Ticket Management Section

    • Display Tickets toggle: Show or hide the Tickets tab on the detail page.

    • Create Tickets toggle: Allow users to create tickets from within the record view.

    • Display Label: Click Edit to change the tab name (e.g., “Tasks” instead of “Tickets”).

    • Pipeline ID: Enter a specific pipeline ID to restrict displayed tickets to that pipeline (copy from WoodsPortal Admin > HubSpot Objects > [Ticket] > Pipelines).

  6. Save Your Settings

    • Click Save at the bottom of the Settings tab to apply all toggles and changes.


Troubleshooting

Issue Resolution
Section toggles not visible Ensure you’re on the Settings tab within the object’s Configure panel in WoodsPortal Admin.
Changes not reflected in portal Verify you clicked Save, then refresh your portal page or clear your browser cache.
Invalid Pipeline ID Copy the exact ID from the Pipelines tab for that object in WoodsPortal Admin; avoid extra spaces.
