Configuring the Record Detail View in WoodsPortal

Learn how to control which fields appear (and whether they’re view-only or editable), set the display order of tabs and fields, and configure list-vs-board views for any object’s detail page in WoodsPortal.

 

Overview


The Detailed Record View in WoodsPortal lets you present an Overview tab alongside Files, Notes, and Tickets (or other object tabs). You decide which properties display, set view vs. edit access, and control the order in which tabs and fields appear in both table (list) and board views.


Before you begin

  • Admin permissions: You must be a Super Admin or Partner Admin in HubSpot.

  • CMS permissions: Access to Website Pages and Design Manager in HubSpot.


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Object Configuration

    • In WoodsPortal Admin, go to HubSpot Objects > select your object (e.g., Tickets) > Configure.

  2. Select Properties for Detailed View

    • In the Properties tab, toggle Display on for each field you want in the Overview tab.

    • Under Access, choose View-only or Editable for each property.

  3. Customize List & Board Views

    • In the List View section, toggle Display on for each column you want in the table view.

    • In the Board View section, toggle Display on for each property you want as a card or lane.

  4. Rename Display Labels

    • Click a field’s current label (e.g., “Ticket Description”) in the Properties tab.

    • Edit the label text (e.g., “Description”) and click Save.

  5. Set Display Order

    • Switch to the Display Order tab.

    • Under Overview, drag properties to reorder how they appear on the Overview tab.

    • Under List View, drag columns to set their left-to-right order.

    • Under Board View, drag properties to define the sequence of cards or lanes.

    • Click Save.

  6. Verify Your Changes

    • In your live portal, open a record under the object’s tab.

    • Confirm that:

      • The Overview tab shows your chosen fields in the specified order.

      • The table view columns match your List View settings.

      • The board view cards or lanes reflect your Board View order.


Troubleshooting

Issue Resolution
Property missing from Overview Ensure it’s toggled Display on under Properties for that object.
Field still editable after setting view-only Double-check the Access setting and click Save; then refresh the portal page.
List or board view order not updated Confirm you reordered items under Display Order and clicked Save, then refresh the portal UI.
